A tribute to the unique and long established art form of patchwork quilting, this abstract animated film uses computer and experimental techniques to choreograph quilt motifs and designs to music.

How amazing that Gayle Thomas made this patchwork quilting film in 1996 when computers and films weren't what they are today!

Glorious imagery of beautiful patchwork blocks assemble and dissemble to toe tapping get your day going and keep the winter snow and winds away!!! And you don't even need to speak or read French!

And hey! Let's call this our own Academy Awards! Which quilt block was the most memorable in its category for you? ;)

To watch the animated film: Courtepointe

If you leave a comment try to name ONE block you recognized.... and it can't have been listed already by another poster ;)
