This was such a touching post and I am so glad I found it. My mom, my best friend, died in Sept. after 6 mos. of in-home hospice care. I notice all the donating you and your friends do making hospice comfort quilts. It seems there are many of us trying to find our way again after many changes. May God bless you richly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36789084.post-36961702349205362512009-01-17T19:21:00.000-08:002009-01-17T19:21:00.000-08:00You write so beautifully. But after a break that long, and with so much else obviously on your mind, it's no wonder it's a journey to get back in. But that's the beauty of crafting. It draws you in again and again, and you get hooked each new time.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my post. Proximidade translated to English means vicinity, or neighbourhood.

The meaning of this award:This blog invests and believes in Proximity- nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends .They are not interested in prizes for self-aggrandizement!Our hope is that when the ribbon of these prizes are cut ,even more friendships are propagated.I happily pass this award on to 8 fellowAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36789084.post-47540955893973575052009-01-16T22:21:00.000-08:002009-01-16T22:21:00.000-08:00Michele,What a lovely post Michele- you have retur...Michele,
What a lovely post Michele- you have returned home and left home at the same time- it must be a strange juxastaposition - My sewing room sometimes is my refuge ( as long as my son and his friends are not playing Rockband :D) where I can play with the fabric- I find petting the fabric indeed therapeutic and suddenly the rest of the world disappears into the folds. When I return to the main floor of our home I feel reconnected with life and relaxed.
I hope you find the time to return to the place where you can fuel your creative soul.
I have been thinking of you and yours and hoped that all was well.
Thank you for the lovely compliment- I can think of nothing better than be known of a person of heart.
Be well,
Warmest regards,
Annaquiltmom annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976120921532056369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36789084.post-39510206839257928162009-01-16T18:33:00.000-08:002009-01-16T18:33:00.000-08:00This is the same process I use when I have a creat...This is the same process I use when I have a creative block. Just poking around and fondling fabric, refolding it, sorting threads, running my fingers through a box of buttons. Just tactile stuff. It works. I did the same thing over New Year's weeked only I could not find all my sewing/quilting supplies. Little by little I have found some of them. But after 3 years of not being able to sew. I have worked 2 jobs for the last 3 years. I have been able to do small projects and your right it does seem to come back to you. The love of creating and the need to embrace something from scratch.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04941733381864506422noreply@blogger.com
